Cumberland Gap National Park!

Updated: 6 days ago

This National Park spans two border states (KY, VA) and showcases a hiking trail that leads to a summit, in which you can see several states from that outlook. The hiking trail is a medium difficult trail, but worth it once you reach the outlook point. The official visitor center for this park is located in Middlesboro, KY and the campgrounds are located Just across the border in Virginia. The campgrounds have no electric or water and during certain times of the season you may encounter black bears. The rate is $15.00/ night to camp in the park, and as mentioned in some other posts, this park in conjunction with a couple others within the area, may be worth a 3 day weekend trip especially if you are in the area.
