When we embarked on our fall northeast trip, we clearly had no idea that we would stumble upon the wonders of national parks and historical sites. Lo and behold, we found ourselves at the riveting Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The visitor center, with its quaint old-town charm, was a delightful departure from the usual park visitor center monotony. Oh, and who doesn't love a nice quarter-mile hike across a state road to park an RV? It's practically a spa day for your legs!
Despite the rain trying to dampen our spirits, we gallantly managed a heroic two-mile walk on the park's trails. The trails were so lovely, I almost forgot I wasn't sipping champagne in a five-star resort. And let's not forget the pièce de résistance – the waterfalls! They were probably the reason Mother Nature invented water in the first place.
For those who yearn for a taste of adventure on their way to Cleveland, do yourself a favor and grace this unexpected pit stop with your presence. And hey, don't forget to grab that coveted stamp in your National Park Passport Book – because nothing screams "I'm cultured" like a stamp collection.
